Welcome to "Back to Rights"
In 2017 my journey began on only 1/5 of an acre. Every inch of the land was used to raise 75 birds, 9 goats and grow several vegetables in raised beds. I wanted to be more self-sufficient, so I decided to invest in solar gear. It was a big investment but it paid off in the long run.
I was 70% self-sufficient on the 1/5 Acre Farm but I then bought a 25 acre farm. The house was ready to fall down and the field was overgrown, but I was determined to make it work.
I started on the house to make it safe to live in. Then proceeded to work on the field for the animals. It was a lot of hard work but I was happy, doing something I loved and now, years later, I have a thriving farm with a variety of animals (though the majority of the variety is in the freezer) and crops.
It has been a long journey with many bumps in the road but it has been worth it and I’m proud to say that my farm is completely off the grid and powered by the sun.
